A note about image resolution:
The images found on these web pages have been produced
in a resolution of over a billion
colors. This is a good thing. Unfortunately, if your monitor is not set to view
this many colors or is not capable of it in the first place, high-resolution
images may appear speckled, or very subtle color gradations may appear rippled
instead of smooth. As well, if your monitor is not correctly color
calibrated, these images may appear with too much red, green or blue.
The
solution: Make sure your equipment is configured to at least 24 bit color, and always use the most recent
Netscape or Internet Explorer browser release. To correct a red, green or
blueish cast to images, the use of a monitor color calibration program, commonly
included Adobe Photoshop and other image editing programs, is recommended.
