Having since my 20s been excited by Jamaican music and culture, I first had the great fortune to visit Jamaica in January of 2001. With beautiful Point Village Resort in Negril as a home base, I've made unforgettable JA friends and adventures into the local area and deep into the Jamaican countryside--the "real Jamaica" one won't know without venturing beyond tourist resorts. Moved by the people and their culture, and the beauty of their land, I've returned to Jamaica often on the occasion of Bob Marley's birthday on February 6th, a time of great celebration on this island nation, and have many photos to share of my travels and Jamaicans I've befriended. My most recent visit began on Bob Marley's 60th birthday in 2005.
