Here's Ernie & Binky. It's a black and white film photograph Ernie shot while in his early 30s and hand-colored with pencils just before computers, Adobe Photoshop and digital cameras changed Everything.
A quick history of Ernie...
He was born in Chelsea, MA and lived in the greater Boston area until he was about 7 when his loving parents chose to make a change for the sake of their kids and began a new life in rural, Kennebunk, Maine. One of Ernie's first memories in Maine is falling out of a tree because a branch of a tree he was climbing broke and he didn't know the difference yet between live and dead branches. A couple bruises were no big deal. Live and learn.
As a teenager, he spent his summers as a camp counselor teaching a zillion happy kids how to sail, canoe, row and swim. After graduating inexplicably cum laude from the University of Maine, Ernie made a nice living as a singer. At 27, he decided to try his hand at photography as well. This proved to be a smart and happy choice. Now in his 50s, he concentrates exclusively on his photography--particularly his passion of wedding photography. If he could imagine work he'd rather do, he'd be doing it. He's also written a book called "Kayla... A Love Story Of A Different Sort", about a friendship between a 30 year old gentleman and a four year old young lady, and for which he pursues a publishing offer he's happy with.
Early on, Ernie gained a reputation for being a perfectionist, and quick about it.
He now lives in a lovely oasis called Rollinsford, NH where he maintains an office and studio in his home.
